Optimization of Green Pickup and Delivery Operations in Multi-depot Distribution Problems

In this work, the Multi-Depot Green VRP with Pickups and Deliveries (MDGVRP-PD) is studied. It a routing optimization problem in which objective to construct set of vehicle routes considering multiple depots one-to-one pickup delivery operations that minimize emissions through fuel consumption, depends on weight travel distance. problems, goods must be transported between single origin its associated destination. Practical considerations imply addressing customers from depots, where logistics service company can efficiently combine resources, thus reducing environmental pollution. To tackle problem, we develop mathematical programming formulation matheuristic approach based POPMUSIC (Partial Optimization Metaheuristic under Special Intensification Conditions) framework. The results show if carried as part fitness measure considered, our provide an average percentage improvement \(30.79\%\), compared only takes into account distances routes.
